Delivery for Bulky Items

Acquire only delivers within Australia and all prices are listed in Australian dollars.
There are two types of delivery methods Bulky Delivery Items and Standard Delivery Items.The delivery method utilized will depend on the type of item purchased.

If you have a combination of Standard and Bulky Items the "Bulky Delivery Method" will be used. If you wish to have two different delivery methods utilized please make a note in the "Special Instructions" field when “Viewing Cart” or process your products separately when shopping.

Bulky Delivery Items 

Refers to furniture goods. These goods can either be self collected or delivered using a Furniture Freighter. 

Some furniture items displayed on our website are not able to be processed on line as they require require a consultant to explain the customization of goods.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the furniture/product that they are purchasing is fit for the purpose it is purchased for.

Purchasers must take measurements of their doorways, hallways, ceilings, stairwells, room dimensions and lifts to ensure the products will fit in the desired area, before making the decision to purchase.

The pre-notification and delivery requirements will vary depending on location, access and the number of products being transferred.

We use Furniture Freighters for transfering our Bulky Goods as a General Freighter will not cover insurance for Bulky Goods and do not provide sufficient man power for such tasks. Everyone's circumstances will vary for this task. If you do not wish to Self Collect the item(s) we will contact you after your online transaction to advise you of the freight charges. Please select "Acquire to advise additional shipping charges at $0 AUD" as your shipping choice. Please also select this option if you have discussed the transportation fee with us prior to the purchase of your goods.

It is usually only economical to transfer Bulky Goods within Perth and further down south until Margaret River. We will refund the purchased product if you do not wish to proceed due to the shipping costs. If you are outside of the above designated area it would be prudent to discuss transfer fees prior to proceeding with a purchase.

BULKY DELIVERY TIME FRAMES

If your item is in stock, most local deliveries can be offered 2 days after you have placed your order but this will exclude Sundays and Public Holidays.

If you are located out of Bunbury, Furniture Freighters may only run to your location on a set day, once week.

If you have purchased a furniture item on-line and requested delivery we will contact you directly, for more specific delivery days once your order has been processed. The transfer will depend on your location and the carriers delivery runs.

If items are in stock, you should expect your order to be supplied between 2 - 14 working days depending on your location.

DELIVERY OF BULKY ITEMS

Our preferred freight companies will contact you directly to organize a mutual day for delivery between both parties. Please note most carriers only operate Monday to Friday between 9 am - 3 pm and only run on set days to designated areas within the metro or regional locations. We are able to offer deliveries in our home town of Bunbury on Saturday's.

Please ensure someone is readily available to allow entry into the premises on the designated delivery day. The carrier will pre-warn you with a call half an hour prior to the delivery in order to provide you with some flexibility for your day but you must ensure you make yourself available once the call has been made and contact attempted.

In the event that the delivery truck arrives at the delivery address and there is no one available to accept the products, the products will be returned to the carrier's depot and the customer will be required to wait for the next available delivery date. In such instances where the carrier is not at fault an extra delivery charge will be incurred, prior to the additional run. Alternatively self-collection from the carrier's depot can be organized to avoid further charges.

All products must be thoroughly inspected at the time of delivery by the purchaser or someone on there behalf, as liability for the products shall pass to the purchaser at this time. No responsibility for damages will be taken by us once the ownership has been transferred to the purchaser. If an item is reported as damaged after the goods have been accepted it must be within a reasonable time frame of no more than 7 days and supported with photographed evidence. Regardless of the reason, any action taken will be at the sole discretion of Acquire. If any action is taken, additional transfer costs or onsite call out fees may be may be incurred if the product is found not to have a fault.
